Four-In-One Multi-Task Tool
These four-in-one multi-task pliers are a must for beaders and wire wrappers. They offer a finely tapered nose for coiling; a flat jaw for flattening, straightening or bending; a groove for closing coils or jump rings and a sidecutter. With PVC grips and double-leaf springs, these pliers are great for travel. Their total length is five inches (12.5cm). "I have had one of these for about 2 yrs. I bought it so that I could bring work with me and not carry 4 or 5 different tools with me. Great concept, but in the end, you really sacrifice quality. I carry 3 different tools now when I travel. Sadly, this is not one of them.
The cutting area is not flush, and gets dull VERY quickly.
The flat area is way to thin/skinny/small to do what is supposed to do efficiently. I end up inadvertently cutting my wire, or crimping the wine and weakening it, rendering my design useless.
The round nose portion of the pliers are useful, but they taper to quickly, not gradually like round nose pliers. Wire slips easily, and again, I get poor results and ruin my design.
I use the pliers occasionally to hold thicker pieces of metal that can't be "hurt" in the flattened portion, and I use the round nose portion to make designs in my polymer art pieces.
I dislike waste - so I try to use what I have in various ways. So, it is not totally useless, but I do believe I would have spent my $20+ in a better way.

Creation: Nothing.....I had to discard all the wirework as it had bad scratches and dents caused by the rough nose of the tool.
"I have been a loyal customer of Artbeads. So far I have been very happy with all the items I've purchased. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about this tool.
Whilst it looks very professional in the photo, the actual usage of the tool leaves much to be desired. The metal is basically poor quality and 'soft'. The side cutter can't even cut my beadalon and the nose is rough and damages my wires and apart from using the flat jaw for flattening, I don't want to use this tool for anything else.
It might just be the pair that I received and not applicable for every pair manufactured, so I'm reviewing this based on the item I have on hand :((
Might be useful if you're just starting out creating jewelery or if you're on a budget as this is supposed to be able to do 4 different things."

"This was my first experience working with a tool like this - now it's my favorite for everything - opening/closing jump rings, sidecutting, coiling wire, etc. It's also great for holding small jump rings that are open while you thread stuff on them! I'm not too crazy about the groove for closing coils but maybe I just don't understand how to use it yet. This was a great value for a beginning serious beader -"

"This is quite simply an indispensable tool with its four-in-one multi-tasking capabilities. It makes wire loops with ease. Flattening, straightening and bending is a breeze. The neat little groove is handy for closing jump rings and the side cutter is useful to have close at hand. All in all its a must have!"

"This tool is great to use as you can have one tool at your disposal and not have to be constantly sorting through everything to find one specific tool. This tool does it all for me. There are a few exceptions, overall I found this tool to be quite useful and saved me time and aggravation."

"These were the first pair of pliers I bought about 5yrs go when I started beading and they're still holding up ok. I'm just now needing to replace them. After all the wear and tear I've put them through (im very hard on my tools), the joint part is slightly off kilter and the rubber handles slip down sometimes. My biggest complaint with these from the beginning was that I occasionally accidentally clip wire on the cutter below the plier part. However, these are perfect for beginners and I use them more often for looping wire than my cheap round nose pliers."

"The tool is a great idea, but I wish it were made with higher quality. The round nose edges are a bit rough and it makes me worry they are scratching my jewelry. The worst part though is the cutter - it's not sharp at all and I can see it will be wearing out very soon. I bought this mainly for the flattener so that I wouldn't have to pick up another tool."
