TOHO Bead Round 8/0 Nickel

The brilliant nickel plating of these TOHO seed beads will give your beaded jewelry and craft designs a touch of metallic beauty. Japanese seed beads like these size 8/0 TOHO rounds are extremely consistent in size and have more durable finishes than seed beads from other countries. This consistency in size is important when doing intricate, detailed loom work or weaving. Whether you are a beginning beader or a master weaver, these beads will give you detailed and gorgeous results. These beads have approximately 350 beads per 8g pack.

Beautiful Color
Date:January 21, 2012
Pros: Size, Price, Versatile, Unique, Ease of Use, Quality, Color
"I agree with the other reviewer here...this color looks just like tarnished Sterling Silver. No other color comes close, so they are worth the higher price for this metal plated finish.
And the finish seems stable. I have not had any problems with the color flaking, fading or rubbing off like many Galvanized Metallic finishes!
Toho quality is excellent as always...the uniform shape, size and hole size make these very easy to use and extremely versatile!"

A less expensive alternative to oxidized sterling

"It's hard to find beads to match oxidized sterling silver. Matte doesn't work and shiny silver doesn't either. These Nickel beads match beautifully. They are shiny, as oxidized silver can be, but they are darker and you can almost imagine that if they had nooks and crannies, there would be a bit of black in there- but they don't and it isn't.
These are a great bead for your stash. Unlike regular galvanized beads, their finish seems fairly stable."
