These sterling silver ear threads with u top and bead chain featuring a ring are also known as threader earrings and make great alternatives to traditional earwires. "I've been using these beautiful threaders for years and the quality is not what it use to be. They get crimped too easily now for the price that is paid for them. If it was not for this threader getting crimped so easily it would be getting a 5 star. This threader has become too fragile."

"Although these threaders are light to wear & stay in place mine broke at the U the first time I wore them. I am ordering another to make the pair again. Wonder if I just got a faulty one. I hope the next last longer. As they are very fragile I would take extra care in putting in & taking out."

"I have worked with several ear threads and I have had 3 of these break on me in the past week! They are weak where the joint is between the chain and the solid pieces of silver. I think they are too fragile."
