"These are my go-to head pins for looping crystals and small beads. I buy them one or two hundred at a time, because I never want to run low. 24 gauge is the wire I'm most comfortable with for flexibility without a whimpy feel."

Pros: Size, Price, Ease of Use, Quality
Cons: Fragile
Creation: earrings
"This 24 gauge head pin fits into small hole pearls and beads so this is a plus, however because it is such fine wire, a simple loop can open. Thus, it is better for wire wrapping."

My go-to pin!
Date:March 21, 2011
Pros: Size, Price, Ease of Use
Other beading styles or techniques: wire wrapping, bead weaving, stringing
Creation: millions of earrings and wrapped dangles for bracelets
"LOVE these 24 gauge pins - they're the best! This length gives you enough room to wrap most things easily. The gauge is soft enough to do the wrap with your fingers once you've made the loop, which I love. Artbeads has the BEST prices for them, and believe me, I've looked everywhere! Love the discount on bulk purchases, too."

The 1/2 inch makes a difference
Date:March 11, 2011
Pros: Size, Ease of Use, Quality
"I have thin fingernail . The 1 1/2" works well for me when using these for dangles on jewelry to give me just a little extra length to pull instead of push the wire around to fininsh the loop. Of course, silver has gotten very expensive so they are not quite the value they used to be."

"The length and thickness is good for leaving enough of a 'tail' to wrap loops easily, and will fit through most beads and crystals."

Good length for a dangle head pin

Perfect size & strength
Date:September 5, 2010
Pros: Quality, Size, Color, Versatile, Ease of Use
Creation: Earrings
"I really like this size headpin. I was a bit shy of the weight before trying it, afraid it wouldn't hold up, but it's great! Even though it holds its shape well, if I make a mistake, it's easy to straighten the pin and start over - something I've not been able to do with heavier weight pins."
