Twisted crimp tubes are a wonderful way to accentuate your jewelry designs. Simply flatten with chain-nose pliers to best display the twisted pattern. For this style crimp tube, we recommend using the Bent Chain Nose Pliers.

better than the old way

"I wouldn't exactly say these provide an "attractive" finish to a design. I wish they could be covered with a small bead or something with smooth edges.
But these are the only thing I use nowadays to finish my pieces. They are more secure than the untwisted crimp tubes and a whole lot easier to use.
What would really be nice would be a design that combined the twisted crimp tube with the wire protector - all in one piece, all in one motion. That would make it a lot easier to finish heavy or tricky pieces off."

"I love these crimps as they are easy to use they stay on and all you have to do is use a smooth flat nose pliers to flatten them down and they look like a small spacer bead at the base of your clasp.
They gripped very well and stay on excellent you don't even need to use a crimper tool with these. I only use these!!

"I use both the 2x2 and 3x2 crimp tubes from Artbeads. I prefer the 3x2 sterling silver crimp tubes because they are just the right length to use with my favorite pliers, especially on the second crimp when all of the beads have been strung and there is not a lot of room to work in. Also, Artbeads' 3x2 crimp tube is not flattened as some of the others and therefore it's easier to get four of the thinner wires through the tube. Because of the ease of use of this type of crimp tube I don't use the plain crimp tubes and beads that require special crimping pliers."

"Personally, I don't like messing with crimp covers, but ordinary crimp tubes are so ugly. This tube is very secure when squeezed flat, and the twisted design is very attractive. Plus, the tube has a great luster to it...very shiny!"

"If you have trouble with the fold-over crimps these are for you! Just flatten with pliars and you get a nice flat silver crimp with a pleasing design. I also use them as silver spacers with seed beads."
