Pros: Size, Ease of Use, Quality, Color, secure for bracelets
Other beading styles or techniques: tried chain maille...ugh; need ID not OD of rings as most suppliers like this use
Creation: red pearl bracelet
"I saw a red pearl 2-strand bracelet recipe on this site a couple of years ago. It required a large square clasp which clicked, one side into the other, similar to a pearl clasp, BUT it didn't have the hook area in case the click failed. I think it's like SS-FBC05-2 (type in search box). Well, it failed almost immediately with the bracelet hitting the ground in a minute or 2. I tried tightening, etc. Finally gave up. The bracelet was just too heavy AND sterling is just too soft in that type of clasp for a bracelet.
I had this clasp stashed away (it was more expensive then than now!), and just recently attached it to the bracelet. For a fairly well-fitted bracelet (a little wiggle room), this HEAVY sterling clasp is super.
I had to add an extra bead on each side with the effect that even the clasp area sparkles and adds to the glamour of the bracelet. It winds up on the top of my wrist and I just leave it there...looks great. I would NOT put this on a necklace since I still prefer the original pearl style clasp with the extra hook.
This clasp is heavy, sterling (!), quality and works well for a heavy 2 strand bracelet. I just ordered a bunch more. Hey, and it's made in USA!"

"I would not recommend this clasp. I found that it is constantly opening and the necklace falls off. It is definitely not secure."
