Sterling Cable and Stringing Thimble (.021 Inch Hole)
Cable thimbles are a great way to protect your wires from fraying as it rubs against the metal of your clasps. This sterling silver cable and stringing thimble will help you accomplish that task with its simple, yet elegant design. The smooth silver has been polished, adding to its appeal. Use them to finish necklaces, bracelets or earrings. This thimble hole is .021 inches allowing you to use it with jewelry wire up to 24 gauge or .020 inches. "If you are looking to match size, this fits fine, small, to medium gauge wire. My customers make comments that my jewelry looks so professional. When I prompted them for a reason they usually point out that I use the wire thimbles. Though seemingly such a small insignificant detail, it makes for such a tremendous finished product."

"Used on a bracelet and it gives a finishing touch that is professional and quality looking. However, this size is smaller and the 49 strand wire I used would not fit through it until I widened the hole with a needle, so you may want to buy the next size up if you're using 49 strand wire."

Thank you for your review. You can use 49 strand wire with this cable thimble as strand count does not effect the thickness of a jewelry wire. This thimble hole is .021 inches allowing you to use it with jewelry wire up to 24 gauge or .020 inches.
