1.5-inch Silver-Plated 23 Gauge Head Pin

Head pins and eye pins are ideal beading components for hanging beads, pendants and other various uses. Simply create a Simple Loop on the straight end of the pin to attach it almost anywhere! Silver-plated beading components are an economical alternative to sterling silver. These plated components are all top quality and work just as well as the non-plated items do, but for a fraction of the price. Beat the heat of rising sterling silver products and buy plated items. Save the sterling for your big designs and use silver-plated components for your day to day designs.

Pros: Price, Versatile, Ease of Use, Quality
"This is a nice quality finding. The head pin is quite sturdy and the wire is a good gauge. My only concern was that the head was a little too small for some beads, and I don't like using a smaller bead to avoid slipping (it disrupts the whole design sometimes). Other than that, it's a good finding. Remember, when purchasing, to select the length that you need based on the size of the bead(s) that you wish to put on the pin PLUS the bit of length it will take to make a loop."

Nice but different to work with
Date:February 3, 2012
Pros: Price, Quality
Cons: Ease of Use
"I would definitely recommend this product as it is a good price for the product. I found that because I'm used to working with Sterling Silver findings, the "hardness" of these headpins take some getting used to. They are stiffer than what I expected which causes wrapping to be different. It's hard to explain but in my case, I found I have to be very careful of where the wire is going during wrapping - otherwise, it will easily start wrapping over the previous wrap."

great price but breaks easily
Date:August 26, 2010
Pros: Price, Size, Color
Cons: Quality, Fragile, Ease of Use
Creation: Swarovski dangle bracelet
"These head pins are a great price, color and size, but at least 1 in ten snapped as I bent them slightly. I don't know what the base metal is under the silver plate, but they were not very bendable. I won't buy them again."

You Get What You Pay For
Date:September 9, 2009
Pros: Price, Size, Color
Cons: Quality, Fragile
Other beading styles or techniques: wire wrapping, steampunk, filigree designs
Creation: Earrings
"These head pins have nice-sized heads and are a good gauge for thinner holes. They're also a beautiful bright silver color.
However, they are VERY brittle, not good for wire wrapping at all. Three of the six I used broke in my hands - and one of those was just a simple loop I slightly opened to attach to an earring.
They look great and are reasonably priced, but they're not worth the frustration."
