"Great price and very useful end cap for many projects but the silver plating just flakes off. It seems to happen when the cap is actually crimped because they look OK untill they are manipulated."

Review 3 for Antique Silver-Plated Pewter Large Fancy Crimp End Cap with Loop
"Be careful about using a cord that is too small because if you need to really tighten the prongs down to hold the stringing material, the plated finish will crack and flake. After ruining two ends this way, I wrapped the ends of my cord with wire and then clamped the crimp on the end so that I wouldn't have to over-tighten the crimp."
