Paua Starfish Pendant

"I was overjoyed to find this gorgeous pendant last year! So much that, I bought it and made the necklace right away, even though I first saw in the fall. (To confess, I sneaked a peak wearing it a few times!) I used locally bought beads to accent the starfish, which hangs by the pinch bail I bought from Artbeads. Every other pearl has a 4mm vitrail medium bicone with a 15/0 aqua green seed bead on each side of the bicones. They pick up the paua color of the starfish so beautifully! I wanted to use the white pearls for contrast and it worked out well."

"Living in Hawaii you see many pieces like these in all shape and sizes sold in the high traffic tourist areas and not the quality, most jewelry designs are over done and the price point is reasonable for the market.. My jewelry line is hand made in Hawaii and gallery quality and one of a kind designs. I feel that incorporating these starfish into my designs will set them apart. Half the fun is the search for new and unique items and great price points, thank you art beads for doing all of the above, the paua shell is brilliant and well done."
