"HERE is the rub: silver is ALWAYS sold by the Troy Ounce!! These are NOT. The weight, in grams, for four "1/2 ounce bags--bag and then net without the bage--are:
14.61-14.28, 14.56-14.25, 14.48-14.15 and 14.59-14.22. A Troy Ounce weighs 31.103 (or 31.1) grams per OT. A half ounce should net 15.55 Grams.

An avoidupois ounce (call it a "postal" or "kitchen" ounce) weighs 28.4 Grams. One-half ounce of this should be 14.2 grams. You can see the inconsistency above. One bag doesn't even make 1/2 of that ounce.

At approximately 37 pieces/gram that is a loss of about 8" of strung material; of 1/3 of a strand.

This was done on a highly accurate digital scale.

For repairing old Native American items this is great. Thisan extremely hard to find item any more.

Conversely, given the current price of silver, it is difficult to use these to make a new piece for sale. You just have to catch this on sale. A one-ounce bag price would be nice!"

"I ordered liquid silver in several sizes, and I'm glad that I used them sparingly, because no one else who sells beads has anything like the ones I found at Artbeads.com. The fine twist adds a subtle bit of movement to each piece of jewelry, and I especially like to pair it with turquoise.

These liquid silver beads are far superior to any I have managed to run across anywhere else, and are definitely a better deal."
