Hill Tribe Silver from Thailand is being featured in the current bead magazines. These items are made by the Karen Hill Tribe in northern Thailand using traditional tribal methods passed down from generation to generation. Purchasing these silver items helps sustain a traditional craft and provides the Karen people with a reliable source of income. The silver content in our Hill Tribes silver beads and pendants is typically 95-99%, even higher than sterling (92.5%). This higher silver content is softer and therefore easier to shape into all the unique and wonderful styles. On close inspection you will notice that no two pieces are exactly alike, attesting to the handmade nature of these beautiful pieces. Each item is sold individually, i.e., not by the pair. Remember, when you buy your silver beads and beading supplies from Artbeads.com, FREE SHIPPING is available in the USA with orders of $10 or more.

"I really like the idea of this little shiny bead and using it for spacers or just a strand but, I am not sure of how strong this little bead is and how well it will hold up in a bracelet. This bead is not soldered solid. A visible line shows and some do not appear strong. I LOVE Hill Tribe silver but, this bead I am questioning. I am working on a bracelet using a lot of these beads and after I complete it and wear it I will definitely have a better opinion! I sincerely hope it is a stronger bead than I think because I love the look of the bead and would love to have it as a "given" with my bead supplies."
