"I used these as spacers in a pearl necklace, and was horrified recently to find that several of them had turned orange. I purposely use gold-filled beads to avoid this problem, and now I have lots of orange beads sprinkled in my braided pearl necklace. Thank goodness this was a piece I made for me, not for a client. I don't know if plated beads got mixed in with the gold filled, or what, but I would not take the risk of buying these again."

Creation: "ball-end" headpins for wire-wrapped loop earrings
"Gold-filled ball-end head pins are expensive--I found adding this 2mm round to a headpin gives the appearance of a ball-end headpin at a good price. I used them on 1.5" 24 gauge gold-fiiled headpins with 5mm pearls to make wire-wrapped loops attached to gold-filled chain to make earrings."

"I used these beads in place of knotting between 6-8mm gemstone beads. They are very beautiful, and particularly set off the gold in goldstone and lapis. They are very nice quality and the holes are a nice size to work with. I keep plenty of these on hand for beaded necklaces."
