Fire-Polished Bead 6mm Cobalt Matte (50pc Pack)
These 6mm cobalt matte fire-polished Czech glass beads are saturated with deep blue color. Use them wherever you want a dark blue that will draw the eye. You can mix them with silver components and jewel-toned beads for a fun bracelet or necklace. These beads come in a 50-piece pack. Glass making in the Czech Republic is an age old cottage industry. "There's something wonderful about matte, faceted glass.
Though these may lack some of the flash of the shinier version, they have a splendid texture and add a lovely, muted appeal to many styles of jewelry.
To me they're reminiscent of beach glass, so I like to work them into sea-themed pieces (along with matte druk beads in pale blues & greens). And any beachcomber knows that one of the rarest, most coveted shades of beach glass is cobalt blue."
