Fireline has many uses for crafting projects and is most known as a must-have for bead looming and weaving. This spool contains 50 yards of material and is rated for use with up to 6 pounds of resistance. This particular spool also comes in a 4 pound version if you're looking for something a little lighter. "I started using Fireline a couple of months ago. I used several other stringing products but will only use Fireline in smoke and crystal...love it. When I make the beaded cuffs I use a 30 foot length strung on a beading needle to a 15 foot length and have not had any problem with tangles!"

"I love this string. It's strong, and it doesn't shred. It does seem to knot/tangle at times."

A good product.
Date:December 14, 2011
Pros: Ease of Use, Quality
Cons: Color
"This is extremely easy to work with. It is easy to thread. The stiffness makes it easy to work with and makes a nice, tight stitch. It is strong and results in a sturdy woven product. It is, however, not transparent and tends to be too visible."

"I cant think of any product more necessary in the beader's toolbox. I actually start to panic if i start running low and always buy in both smoke and crystal so i'm never limited but not having the right one for my projects. I've never had it split or fray while beading, It slides easily thru the needle and is a complete joy to work with. The 6lb. test size has never let me down in holding up to the weight of what ever i bead. Some beading goddess really was inspired to invent Fireline!"

"Fireline thread is just wonderful and I try to use it exclusively. It does not require pre-waxing and I find that it does not ravel.
I am a beginner to seed beading and I am able to correct my mistakes without the thread raveling and I am able to pull it tightly."

Pros: Quality, Size, Versatile, Ease of Use
Cons: lack of fluidity
"This is my favorite thread. Unless much fluidity is needed this is the only thread I use in all of my off-loom weaving. Why? Because of its thinness, strength, ease of use and lack of stretch. I use all three colors."

"Back in the 1980's I preffered NYMO F thread.
Can not find it much anymore.
The bead shop where I used to buy my beads were urging me to try FireLine. Since I bought it here at ArtBeads, I seldom use any other thread.
Been a satisfied customer for about a year.
Do not use when on the Loom or weaving necklaces.

Love this product
Date:April 3, 2010
Pros: Price, Quality, Versatile, Ease of Use
"I have been bead weaving for over 20 years.
I make necklaces, braclets and earrings.
This is a very durable product and user friendly.
I still use NYMO D mostly with B; when working on the loom.
I thought about trying peyote stich rings with fire line. But I didn't because of the extra extremes that hands come in contact with.
Been using fireLine about a year now.
Have not had a problem.

DO NOT use for rings
Date:September 15, 2009
Cons: Fragile
"I have been taught how to weave with fireline. Was told that it was strong and a great material to use. Though I have not yet had a problem with bracelets and necklaces, I have made many rings that have all begun to fall apart. I regret making them with this product, since I am losing face with my clients and have to reimburse them for their rings."

Great Stuff!
Date:May 28, 2009
Pros: Quality, Size, Unique, Color, Ease of Use
Cons: a little bit stiff
Other beading styles or techniques: bead weaving
Creation: Bracelets
"I finally gave in and tried it, and... I love it! It is very easy to thread and doesn't fray or tangle. Absolutely amazing! However, I will say that it's a bit stiffer than other stringing materials I have used, but not enough to make that big of a difference. I won't be using it in all of my projects, because softer threads tend to lay better in some of them, but I'll certainly always keep it on hand and use it in many of my projects. Everyone should try it!"
