Antique Silver-Plated Pewter Textured Round Locking Jump Ring

Use this JBB antique silver-plated pewter textured round locking jump ring to bring a touch of texture to your next design. Jump rings are a must-have for any jewelry designer, but this one is a special piece. Its large, thin design is detailed with fine lines and features a locking component for a firmer hold. Match the weathered silver coloring in this piece with tones like blue or red in a necklace or bracelet idea. Connect multiple strands together or attach a pendant with the use of this helpful finding.

"I was asked to replace a failing jump ring on my daughter's boyfriend's hemp necklace. Evidently the necklace was from high school, so it had sentimental value. I wanted something "guy-like" and I wanted it to stay shut, because those important pieces were attached directly to the jump ring.
I was very satisfied with the look; it's textured on both sides, and I was pleased with that. My only concern is the lock, which is a hole on one side and a pin on the other. When I needed to reopen it (I forgot one of those pesky pieces), I was able to do so very easily. Still, the boyfriend has worn it for weeks without trouble, so I guess it locks securely unless you want to open it.
There is definitely a plus side to being able to reopen it--if I had used jump lock rings, I would have wasted one, and they cost a lot more than this did."
