3x3-Inch Verde Patina Copper Sheet 24 gauge
With this 3x3-inch 24 gauge copper sheet with a verde patina coating from Lillypilly you can design unique pieces to incorporate into jewelry designs with a fun earthy feel. This component is a copper square with one smooth, blank surface and another exposed to a patina process or corrosion. This detailed surface showcases a cool green and rust pattern that will bring your looks to another dimension full of texture. This sheet is made from a process similar to the natural aging process of copper and bronze, when chemicals produce new colors on the surface to protect the material from corrosion. Each sheet will vary in its appearance but all will show this lovely green and copper color combination, and is coated with a protective wax. A second layer of paste wax should be applied to protect the coloring.

Other beading styles or techniques: I do not 'bead'. I am a highly creative person and I do so MANY things with different beading components, such as metalsmithing, wire sculpture, wildlife wood carving, mixed media creations,watercolors, acrylics, fine jewelry design. I just LOVE when a vendor offers wonderfully beautiful components, such as you.
Creation: While the copper patina plates provided me with inspiration, I immediately made them visually available for contemplation. I love all designs organic! The 3-D effect, I feel, is more difficult to reach or obtain than other approaches to art. I painted (acrylics) a brass lamp pole and turned it into a copper pole with green and blue patinas. You could have fooled me! The lamp's construction is of crystal and brass. I created a festive shade out of handmade paper, handmade by yours truly (Carribean colors), ribbons, beads and stones. So much do I admire organics, I have decided to have a replacement engagement ring made with a raw diamond. My original was stolen and contained a 3.5ct oval cut (faceted and all that stuff).Raw, as in out of the ground looking to the unappreciative eye as a clear rock. I'll send a picture when I've completed the lamp as well as a picture of my ring. See, your neat stuff inspires all kinds of things!
"I ordered two copper sheets, one in verde (36g) and the other in a blue patina (24g), in order to inspire me in painting a brass lamp pole to mimic copper and corrosion. These sheets filled the bill. I put them on the wall of my studio after I finished painting just to admire their organic-ness.
The only thing I would change about this product would be that they be available in higher guages. I have felt the urge to create something from these plates only to find hardness in my way. Perhaps adding a thin 45+guage would open more artistic doors for more people."
