"Yes, these are pricey, but they're beautiful. I used them for a peyote project that required a lot of handling, and the finish didn't rub off. The galvanized gold ones I've used in the past rubbed off before the project was done. 8 grams is not a lot. Remember that there are about 28 grams in one ounce!"
