"I love metallic colors and this Matte Copper Iris is beautiful! It has more red in it than appears in the photo. It is a dark Reddish Copper with the Blue and Green hints that an oxidized copper would have!

Miyuki Delicas offer excellent quality with their uniform size, shape and extra big holes! Very little culling is necessary when working with Delicas and they perfect for on and off loom beadweaving.

The matte metallic finishes are always more expensive but with free shipping and a coupon, this was the best price per gram that I found for this color!

I actually ran out of this color in the middle of a project (Regal Reiteration by Hatsumi Oshitani, B&B 12/08) which can be scary as every 'Color Batch' can be slightly different...but these matched up perfectly with the ones I had in my stash that were purchased a long time ago and from a different store!"

Creation: I am creating a necklace with Miyuki Delica Seed Beads.

"Iris Dark Copper beads from Miyuki are unusual and have a beautiful deep color. I have seen these nowhere else but at Artbeads.
I am using them in a seed bead piece that I hope to enter in a contest. The iris effect that is part of the bead finish allows the light to pick up greens and blues so inherent in copper itself. These allow me to add greens, blues and even pinks to my beaded design. Try these out and see what colors you can put them with!"
