"This bead has had to grow on me because it replaces an earlier version of the "turquoise picasso" leaf bead that I loved and was gorgeous. It has since been discontinued, I suppose, but it is sorely missed. The first time I got these instead of the ones I thought I was ordering, I actually sent them back, thinking there'd been a mistake.The above photo, btw, is of the OLD bead, not what you'll be getting. The new one looks more "southwestern" if that makes any sense. It is a straight darker turq with rust striations. I like it now and have used it on several pieces."
