Black Silver 1890's Button

The black silver style of this button combines with the granulations, milgrain and swirling flower to create a design that appears to be straight out of the 1890s. Whether you are embellishing a dress or need an ornate clasp, this button will provide you with a fantastic accent. Be sure to embellish your next craft or sewing project with this lovely little button for classically vintage results.

"This is a gorgeous button. Made it the centerpiece for a double-strand stretch bracelet. Tied the knots under the button. Lots of compliments. I've ordered more."

Pretty, but plastic
Date:August 1, 2009
Pros: Size, Unique, Color
Cons: not what it appears
Other beading styles or techniques: stringing, chain
Creation: choker necklace
"This button is very pretty, but the description should note that it is actually plastic. The silver parts appear to be a metallic paint or a thin layer of metal. I plan to use it in a choker with silver colored chain and black and gray glass beads. I was hoping it would be entirely metal, but it should still work."
