"The breakage rate of these eye pins is so high that I cannot recommend them. They not only break with the most careful of handling while making loops, the preformed eye breaks off with even the gentlest twist to open it.
I was threading crystals onto the pins, then making simple loops (not wrapped) at the other end in order to link them into some chain. 4 of the 20 pins broke during this process, then when attaching them to the chain 5 of the 6 survivors broke at the top of the loop. At this point I gave up, got out a different product and started again.
The brittleness is apparent as metal fatigue rather than rigidity."
