"This is a really beautiful bead. However, if you hold it up to the light, the red (which is transparent) becomes a dark fuchsia. Still gorgeous, but not the "rusty red" I was looking for (the description *does* say there may be slight variations, so this isn't ArtBeads' fault).
I was hoping to use this as the button in a hemp bracelet, but the hole is too small for even one strand. It is a sturdy bead, and I love the color, which will be perfect for another piece I'm planning."
