"This is a nice charm but definitely not worth buying.
In the photos of it it looks more impressive than it is.
I think the reason is because it doesn't have a sense of bulk. It really appears small in the bracelets and decided to wait to use it. I may find a way to use it later that will make it work, but it doesn't work with my pieces now. Maybe for a child's piece. I don't know.
It's a high quality like the horseshoe and sunflower, but just doesn't come off as special.
It's not a bad charm and it's made well but it's too simplistic. If it was maybe 2 or 3mm larger it would be well worth it. In fact I think that's the main problem it has. It's just too small in scale to show off it's design. I had bought it thinking the heart and the key combined would be great.
It just needs to be made a bit larger.

"I'm a bit disappointed with these new charms that came out for the steampunk collection. This charm is another example of a poor style choice:
The back is flat. It's disappointing to see such lovely looking charms that only have one 3D side. That said the color is lovely and the size is very cute, but I'm not certain I'd buy this again."

A Small Steampunk Effect

"Charms can be used for a variety of effects, depending on the charm. A key or lock charm can be used with chain to give a small steampunk effect. These two charms can also be used together for Valentine's Day jewelry, especially withth a heartshaped lock: "this is the key to my heart." The key charm is a cool addition to a smaller stone pendant as the "dangle" at the bottom, which also gives a small steampunk effect."
