Rectangle Black Onyx - Winter, by Mucha
This hand-painted Russian pendant is based on Alfons Mucha's painting Winter. The art nouveau style of this painting provides a gorgeous design for this exquisite pendant. The backing is a large piece of black onyx and the front side of it has been painted with wonderfully metallic gold. The pure beauty in this bead is viewable from afar and spectacularly clear up close.

"I was skeptical about buying the Russian pieces only because of cost. Trust me--they are well worth the money. Exquisite detail and wonderful coloration. Gold detail paint makes the piece truly shimmer. Really exceptional artisan craftmanship."

"This bead makes me think of winter and snow which is so quiet and calm. I always look forward to the first snow of the season and never tire of watching it quietly fall. It is a beautiful, beautiful piece."

"I ended up buying four of these beads and although they are the same there are so many differences between them. You can tell the great craftsmanship with each bead. The gold in the trees was a nice surprise."
