5601 6mm Faceted Cube Cantaloupe

These faceted cube beads in SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS's 5601 style are the perfect accent for your beaded jewelry creations. Under fluorescent light and sunlight, it appears green. Under incandescent lights it turns to a beautiful shade of peach. Because of its unique properties, it's almost impossible to photograph! Please note: this crystal is not actually half peach and half green; in our picture, each side of the crystal represents the color shown under a different type of light.

"I started out as a glass artist and have always enjoyed working with glass that has a color shift...my favorite being rhubarb, with the characteristic red and green shift. I never expected to find beads with the same unique properties...I am thrilled. www.twoiguanasglass.com"

Misleading
Date:July 14, 2011
Pros: Unique
Cons: Color
"I didn't realize that "color changing" meant that the crystal actually changed colors depending on the light. I thought it meant that the manufacturer was going to be changing the color soon or something. So much for reading the fine print.
This crystal matched perfectly with mauve Swarovski pearls, so I put them together in a ring. It looked great in natural light, sunlight, and under regular indoor light bulbs, which is all the lighting I have at home. Then I brought the ring to work to show it off and the crystals were GREEN. And not a pretty green either. P.S. Green and mauve do not look good together. I was shocked. This crystal really just needs to be left on its own because it's impossible to put with any other colors. Peach and green???"
