Pros: Price, Quality, Unique
Cons: Ease of Use
Other beading styles or techniques: stringing, some wire work
Creation: Ring
"I made a wire wrapped ring with this bead and a small fire polished Czech glass bead for the center. It's very flashy and fun and the person I gave it to is enjoying it a lot. I can think of several projects this would be a great addition to, although the open center is somewhat limiting. I'd like to see the stringing hole only on one side of the circle so this could be the end of a strand or drop."

"I did not buy these beads I received them as a gift from Ohio Beaders. I used these beads to design a pair of adorable earrings. Other gift beads were used in the earrings. This was a fun challenge to make something with the beads I received. These lovely beads are very versitile and can be used in many designs without any problems."

Pros: Quality, Unique, Color, Ease of Use
Cons: Size
Other beading styles or techniques: Wire-wrapping, knotting
Creation: Pendant - to be turned into earring
"The color/lustre/shine on this bead is nice - but it's only on one side! I wish the color/shine were consistently on both sides.
I made a pendant so it will likely lay on the right side, but I have another one and wanted to create earrings with 2 of them. I'm not sure how they will look since the sides are uneven in color.
The natural inclination is to fit a smaller bead inside. The only problem is that I used both 4 mm (bicone and round) and 6 mm (bicone) Swarovskis: the former were too small (the bead kept dropping when I hung it vertically) and the 6 mm is too large.
I wanted to hang the bead in the middle vertically but could not really center it. I ended up using a headpin with a bead on the end to help raise the bicone better. It is not as symmetrical as I'd like, but does have a little 'give' to it. I imagine of the stone were flush in the center, it would not really move much.
Still, I was surprised that Swarovski did not make it so that the center of the donut would fit one of their standard 4 or 6 mm bicones/rounds better.
Linking many of these together for a bracelet would be really nice - anything that lays more flat than dangles, given the two-colored sides."
