Creation: Necklace

"What a great "OMG!" centerpiece to a necklace. The color is deep, rich, sapphire blue and the crystal is HUGE! Flawless cut and design. Minor drawback was locating a bail for it. Straightened out a 50mm x 12mm silver-plated, filigree cone, wrapped the widest part of the flattened cone over a mandrel to fashion the bail loop and glued it on the back of the crystal. Perfect!"

"This is indeed a HUGE Swarovski stone. It is absolutely beautiful, truly stunning! The only issue is that I didn't understand that it wasn't a pendant with a drilled hole. This stone is also not flat on the back. That's just my learning curve. It appears that this stone needs a holder or setting of some sort in order to use it as a pendant, and I haven't been able to find one in this large size yet. However, I will keep searching. This will make a spectacular pendant!"
